NY Times: "How Saffron, a Precious Import, Became an American Cash Crop"

NY Times:
What a great way to start the year with this amazing New York Times article about saffron and a lovely mention of our farm! Whoo! The New York Times! Who would’ve imagined?!?
Thank you to Jane Black, the reporter who tenaciously worked on this story for literally years to get it published.
We do not have our saffron threads for sale this year, but as the article mentions, growing your own saffron is such a fun way to explore the spice, and I have just listed a pre-order for purchasing corms for the 2025 planting season.

Plus there’s always the magic of saffron-infused raw honey.

If you don’t have access to the article, there’s also a fantastic quote from Perry Hoffman at @boonvillehotel about our saffron. Super cool.
(ps @hannahcmilman helped plant @marthastewart48 ‘s saffron garden the article mentions and I even got a FaceTime call to talk about planting it with Martha! one of my biggest bragging rights re saffron! )
